Germany's statutory minimum wage has been €13.90 gross per hour since January 1, 2026 and rises to €14.60 on January 1, 2027 (§ 1 MiLoG, Fünfte Mindestlohnanpassungsverordnung). The mini-job (Minijob) earnings limit is €603 a month and rises to €633 on January 1, 2027 (§ 8 Abs. 1a SGB IV).
What a mini-job costs the employer in levies is shown in the mini-job levies dataset. Care businesses pay the care minimum wage, and apprentices get the apprentice minimum pay.

How many hours can you work in a mini-job in 2026?
At the minimum wage, at most 43 full hours a month: the mini-job limit of €603 divided by €13.90. If you earn more than the minimum wage, you can work correspondingly fewer hours.
What is the minimum wage in Germany in 2027?
From January 1, 2027, the minimum wage is €14.60 gross per hour. The increase has been promulgated.
How many hours can you work in a mini-job in 2027?
At the minimum wage, at most 43 full hours a month with a mini-job limit of €633.
How is the mini-job limit calculated?
Since October 1, 2022, the rule is: minimum wage times 130 divided by 3, rounded up to full euros (§ 8 Abs. 1a SGB IV). Before that, the limit was fixed at €450. The API returns the calculated value.
Can I query future values?
Yes. Once an adjustment is promulgated, we add it with its effective date in the next weekly check. naechster_wert shows it even when you query today's date.
Does the minimum wage also apply in the care sector?
Care businesses pay the higher care minimum wage under the Care Working Conditions Ordinance (Pflegearbeitsbedingungenverordnung). It takes precedence over the general minimum wage as long as it is not lower.
Does the minimum wage apply to apprentices?
No. Apprentices are covered by the apprentice minimum pay under § 17 BBiG. The Minimum Wage Act does not govern their pay (§ 22 Abs. 3 MiLoG).
